Monument Valley at twilight was a huge surprise in the spring of 2019. We pulled into the KOA Journey in the evening and setup camp, the sun started setting, then I was running for my camera. This panorama is almost 20,000px wide and captures several mesas looking north and east from the campground. The wind was gusty, but the desert grass is conditioned for this environment and hardly moved. Several species growing in the red soil are visible throughout the foreground creating a natural foundation for the massive picturesque mesas in the background. Captured with a Nikon Z7, 24-70mm f/4, Acratech panoramic head and brackets, and stitched into a super high resolution 16-bit panorama.
