There’s hundreds of these little creeks in the Okanagan so it wasn’t a problem finding one to capture this little winter scene today. Shot with a Nikon D810 and the 70-200mm f2.8 at 70mm, f/13, .8 sec, and ISO 31, aka L1.0 on this camera which is great for blurring water. Also used a circular polarizer, mostly to slow the shutter down even further.
I was standing and kneeling right in the creek for this image, wearing water proof boots and water proof pants, self-justifying in my head to my accountant the fact that I bought these garments exactly for shooting in tough wet cold winter conditions like these. Take that CRA. 🙂
Post was in Lightroom with white vignette and a few other very minor enhancements. It looks really good in black and white as well, but I chose to stick with the colour version today. Probably will change my mind tomorrow……… 🙁
